The logo concept is based on the school’s focus on maximising learning growth for all students. The tree symbolises growth in learning and the growth of our school and our community. It also recognises the significant contribution made by the Lucas Girls in planting trees for the Ballarat Avenue of Honour. The lines represent the growing branches and trunk of a tree.
In combination with the three outlined egg shapes, the tree branches can be seen as stylised children learning, playing and growing together. The figures also represent the child, parent and teacher working together to support growth.
The curving lines and floating shapes give the logo a sense of fun, life and movement.
